Spring Startup Sequence
JANUARY
STEERING: Confirm date of first meeting, share zoom link
TECH: Post first member meeting to website and Google Calendar, WITH zoom link for convenience
ASSIGNMENTS: confirm which “team leaders” are returning
STEWARDSHIPS: set a date for stewards of individual plots to re-commit or yield
REMINDER: Please do not clear fallen leaves or dead plants until after weather is consistently 50º. It's important for pollinators.
FEBRUARY
TECH: Make sure “team leaders” are listed correctly on website for coming year, and that email forwarding is correct
TECH: update website with Renewal Dates, the coming year’s pricing, etc.
MEMBERSHIP: confirm the renewal price and find out who’s renewing
ASSIGNMENTS: confirm people who are returning to “single-person roles” such as "BANG Representative”
ASSIGNMENTS: confirm which teams need help, approximate numbers of openings
MARCH
MEMBERSHIP: schedule and run renewal day including key exchange
OPEN HOURS: configure signup.com for people to book their times
MEMBERSHIP: schedule New Members Day(s), based on number of renewals
APRIL
STEWARDSHIPS: manage the waitlist, welcome new stewards off waitlist
MEMBERSHIP: plan dates for New Members to join
ASSIGNMENTS: arrange for returning and new members to join teams
- TECH: add team members to email groups/aliases as needed
GROUNDS: prune trees as needed
GROUNDS: ensure that first Group Project Day includes cleanup such as raking, and adding wood chips to paths
Winter Shutdown Sequence
GROUNDS: Flush water from pipes to protect water system
STEERING: Set the calendar for all of next year’s monthly meetings, communicate that to Tech
